Chicago Maxwell Street Polish Sausage
- 4 (4-oz) Polish sausage
- 1 onion, sliced thin
- 2 T vegetable oil
- 5 sport peppers
- 4 T yellow mustard
- 4 (6-inch) French rolls
- Preheat Bravo and set to broil at 500°F.
In the baking pan, add vegetable oil and onions. Place on cooking rack in position 3. Cook for 10 min. to caramelize onions. Slide out and move around with spatula. Remove to a plate and reserve.
- Place Polish in baking pan and broil for 5 min. Sausage should slightly char and blister. Remove.
Place French rolls on cooking rack in position 3. Bake at 425°F for 5 minutes.
- To assemble the Maxwell, place sausage in Roll and top with caramelized onions, 2 sport peppers, and yellow mustard.
